Our Materials

Organic Cotton

We chose to use organic cotton in most of our products for being better both for the environment and for your skin. Following internationally recognised farming standards, its production uses less energy and less water and reduces the emissions of greenhouse gases. It also limits the use of insecticides, pesticides or fertilisers, therefore protecting the soil and the water sources from being polluted and the farmers from being exposed to these chemicals.

Linen

Linen fibers are spun from a naturally sustainable plant, the flax plant, which is pest-resistant and only needs rainwater to grow, thus avoiding chemical intervention and irrigation. Its strong and rigid fibers give Linen fabrics the characteristic textured appearance and make them durable, breathable, easy to dry and resistant to pilling.

Vegan Silk

Being a more ethical alternative to silk, Cupro was a natural choice for us to use in our products. It is a plant-based material with all the drape and textural qualities of silk, but produced from the very short cotton linters that stick to the seed and are usually thrown away. The fibers are then spun from a liquid solution where the cotton linters are dissolved together with a mixture of copper and ammonium (Cuprammonium). Cupro is hypoallergenic and breathable as cotton and, unlike silk, it is machine-washable.

Vegan Leather

We choose not use real leather because we care about animal welfare. The vegan leather we use in our accessories is made of cotton (19,5%), polyester (26,3%) and polyurethane (54,2%). Because it has cotton in its composition it gets very soft and has a pleasant warm touch
